Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Summary: Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark won the annual competition described in Hunger Games, but the aftermath leaves these victors with no sense of triumph. Instead, they have become the poster boys for a rebellion that they never planned to lead. That new, unwanted status puts them in the bull's-eye for merciless revenge by The Capitol.

My Take: OK…I am addicted! Three words to describe this book would be Amazing, Compelling, and Intense. I read The Hunger Games in 2 days, Catching Fire in 2 days and then I thought, “I have to wait until August for Mockingjay?” So I read the last half of the second book again, and then I read the whole first book all over again in one sitting. I am not one that reads books more than once, but I think I will be reading these books over and over again.

***SPOILER ALERT*** If you have not read the first book to Hunger Games, do not read further.

Katniss and Peeta have survived the Hunger Games and they are now District 12 Victors. Victors are guaranteed safety and wealth for the rest of their lives! Are they really safe? President Snow thinks that Katniss has outsmarted him, he is angry. How will he punish her?
