Moon Called by Patricia Briggs

Goodreads Summary: Werewolves can be dangerous if you get in their way, but they'll leave you alone if you are careful. They are very good at hiding their natures from the human population, but I'm not human. I know them when I meet them, and they know me, too.

Mercy Thompson's sexy next-door neighbor is a werewolf.

She's tinkering with a VW bus at her mechanic shop that happens to belong to a vampire.

But then, Mercy Thompson is not exactly normal herself ... and her connection to the world of things that go bump in the night is about to get her into a whole lot of trouble.

My Take:  I had a really hard time reading this book. I am hoping that it is a start to a really good series.

Mercy is one tough chick. She hangs out with a Vampire, she is friends with one of the Fae and she was raised by werewolves (her hot neighbor is one too). Only she is a Shapeshifter/Coyote.

A young werewolf shows up at her car shop looking for work even though he does not know who/what she is and he brings trouble with him.

...And just like every other series, Mercy gets herself stuck in a love triangle.

  1. Yeah. I had trouble with the first book here and never went any farther. I found the dialogue to be trying too hard to be hip. The sexuality unsexy.

  2. I had a couple friends tell me to read on and the 3rd book was a lot better than the first 2 but I haven't read any further.
