Publisher’s summary: Nikki Beckett could only watch as her boyfriend, Jack, sacrificed himself to save her, taking her place in the Tunnels of the Everneath for eternity—a debt that should've been hers. Now she is living a borrowed life, and she doesn't know what to do with the guilt. And every night, Jack appears in her dreams, lost and confused and wasting away. No matter how she tries to reach for his hand, she can never find it.
Desperate for answers, Nikki turns to Cole, the immortal bad boy who wants to make her his queen—and the one person least likely to help. But his heart has been touched by everything about Nikki, and he agrees to help in the only way he can: by taking her to the Everneath himself.
Nikki and Cole, along with Cole's bandmate Max, descend into the Everneath, only to discover that their journey will be more difficult than they'd anticipated—and more deadly. From a Lake of Blood and Guilt to Sirens' alluring tricks to insurmountable walls of rock and flame, the trio is given every reason to turn back and give up. But Nikki vows to stop at nothing to save Jack—even if it means making an incredible sacrifice of her own.
In this breathtaking sequel to Everneath, Brodi Ashton tests the bonds of destiny and explores the lengths we'll go to for the ones we love.
My take: Oh! My! Gosh! The ending to Everbound was a crazy, epically awesome ending! Ahhhhhhh! I loved it! I loved the whole book, but that ending took the cake! Oh boy was it good! I was stunned!!! I’m so happy I didn’t sneak-a-peek, because I had no clue that it would take that crazy of a turn.
One of the reasons I loved this book so much is because we get a lot of Cole. Now, don’t get me wrong, before this book I was not at all a fan of Cole. And I can’t say whether I’m a fan now or not, but I’ll admit that he was winning me over throughout this entire book. But I’m still 100% Team Jack. We also get to know more about some other critical characters in this book.
Another reason I liked this book so much is because we get a nice big, total picture of what the Everneath is really like! And, lastly, I love how in this book Nikki actually displays true emotion. Her lack of emotion (because of the feed) was something I had a hard time with in Everneath.
Just like I said in the very beginning, the ending to Everbound was phenomenal and made the story beyond amazing, and I can’t wait to talk to someone about that ending. It was so good! And now I’m more than a little excited to read the next and last book in this trilogy! So read Everbound now!!!!
Agh! I must get my hands on this book!
ReplyDeleteThis book was amazing! I also loved learning all about the Everneath and I also am totally Team Jack, but I sure have a lot of feelings for Cole too! Great review! :)

ReplyDeleteOh that ending was amazing. I loved it even more than the ending to EVERNEATH! Well except for that last line.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, taking a peek would totally have ruined it. :)
You have to read Neverfall to get a better idea of Cole. It will help to understand certain things.
But oh my gosh I want to chat with you about motivations and what you think about what happened at the very end with that one thing with the one character.
Love your review!
