Oh my sister absolutely loved The Fault In Our Stars and I'm planning to read it this week! Great list!

I sometimes forget how similar our reading tastes are, Mindy. I've picked up THE TESTING about a half a dozen times and I think I better just keep it in my hot little hands the next time. Thanks for hosting this epic event! *muah* (Jen)
ReplyDeleteAwesome Top 10! Sadly, I haven't read any of these YET. But I own more then half. I just have a review pile that's stacking as high as the ceiling, and hey theirs only 24 hours in a day! So I have gotten to any of them yet. But I plan on it in 2014!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting this awesome event, it was so much fun, and for the great giveaway, and for dropping by my Ton 10 @ Addicted Readers!
My Rafflecopter name is: Vannah B.
Loved Indigo Spell and Fiery Heart! So many of these I still need to read like The 5th Wave and Sweet Peril. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI still haven't read the Fiery Heart and I agree the Fault in our stars was good
ReplyDeleteI totally groups a few series books I read this year too! lol I so meant to read Grave Mercy and Dark Triumph this year and never got to it. :( I need more time in the day! I'm glad to see Independent Study on your list because I have that one coming up soon. Thanks for sharing your Best of 2013 list!
ReplyDeleteI have not read any of them which is shocking since I read 158 books this year and they all seem awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome list of books. Love seeing what your favorites are. I've read a number of them and agree. Thanks for the awesome giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI totally cheated this time, too :)
ReplyDeleteI loved The 5th Wave & Alice in Zombieland (I'm reading Through the Zombie Glass right now, I'm hoping to finish it today & I'm loving it), and I've read & loved Eleanor & Park, too, although none of them made it on my Top 10 of 2013 list, but there were just so many amazing books I've read this year, and even with honorable mentions, I still couldn't list every book I wanted.
The rest on your list I'm yet to try, but I've heard great things, so I'm glad you loved them as well. Hopefully I'll get to them in 2014 :)
Happy holidays & thanks for hosting this event again!

Geez I feel so behind...I have only read The Fault In Our Stars and the Indigo Spell. I loved them both but haven't read any of the others yet. There are too many amazing books out there and not enough time!
ReplyDeleteHis Fair Assassin is one of my all-time favorite series, I'm so glad you liked it! Dark Triumph and The Fault in Our Stars made my list too, but TFIOS was hands-down the best book I've read all year, maybe even ever. I also really liked The Selection and I need to finish VA so I can go on to Bloodlines. Great list!
ReplyDeleteMy List
Great list. I love most of those books :)
ReplyDeleteEndless Knight and The Fault In Our Stars both made my list as well! I have been wanting to read The Elite as well, I'm glad to hear it was good =D
ReplyDeleteEmily @ Falling For YA
Endless Knight made it to my list as well. I love that series.
ReplyDeleteAwesome picks Mindy!!!! I still need to read, The Fault in Our Stars and The 5th Wave! I loved Sweet Peril, Endless Knight, and Alice in Zombie Land!!!

Grouping them together was a good idea! haha. I loved Dark Triumph!! I just finished reading The Program and I really enjoyed it too! There's definitely a few on your list that I still need to read! Thanks for sharing, happy holiday!
ReplyDeleteI agree with so many on your list! The Fault in Our Stars was, of course, amazing. I loved The Indigo Spell and am oh-so-close to finishing The Fiery Heart right now. <3 Adrian. The two K.A. Tucker books were incredible, as was Eleanor & Park and Angelfall. So many fantastic books this year!
ReplyDeleteI have read some of the books on your list and loved them. A few are still in my tbr pile or want list.
ReplyDeletefantastic list!!! This was a horrible reading year for me and most of those books were on my wishlist/want to read. Never got the chance. Here's hoping that the new year will bring better reading :)
ReplyDeleteI've seen The Testing series on a few posts today. I wasn't thrilled with the first book at all. Too much like THG. But I did enjoy the second book. I hope to get to read the third soon. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI have quite a few I planned on reading but never got to from your list. The Fault in Our Stars has been on my shelf for months I know it's going to be an emotional read which is why i'm so hesitant to start it I think. I started reading Alice in Zombieland and was loving it but didn't finish it since I forgot it at my cousins house and haven't been back yet to pick it up. Anyways great list I hope to read a few of the ones you have next year.
ReplyDeleteGreat list, I like that you actually ended up with 18 books in your top ten. :D That's something I would do.
ReplyDeleteHaven’t read all these on your list
ReplyDeleteI really want to read that series by Wendy Higgins... I've heard so many great thing about it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome list! :)
I can't wait for the third book in the Sweet Evil series! And I just read The 5th Wave recently- I loved it! Great list!
ReplyDeleteViolet
I don't think you cheated AT ALL!!! Makes total sense to me! I keep meaning to read Fault in our Stars but I'm so afraid of crying all the tears out of my body if I do. I'm such a huge Vlog Bros fan and Mr. Green can do no wrong in my book. I really should just suck it up and do it!
ReplyDeleteThe other one everyone tells me at work to give a chance is The Selection. I'm totally afraid of it b/c of the bachelor-type story but my work buds tell me it's not that bad. To see it on your list tells me it might be actually good :)
Great list! Oh, and Merry Christmas!! (dang, forgot to tell Rachel that!!)
# 3 Yep! One of my favorites though it didn't make my Best of 2013 post today. Saving it for tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, so many good books! :) Are not Rae Carson's books, like, the best things out there? I'm so in love with her. Ooh, and I need to read the Testing books! It looks like everybody loves those. :)
ReplyDeleteRachel @ Paper Cuts
Wow, I really wanted to get my hands on these books especially Rae Carson's.
ReplyDeleteSo many great books! I reread TFIOS this year. (I had this silly thought that I could stop the tears from flowing . . . nope. Didn't happen.) I also read and loved many of those other books on your list. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Grave Mercy is AMAZING! So is the Girl of Fire and Thorns trilogy- LOVED it!
ReplyDeleteHi Mindy,
ReplyDeleteI followed a twitter link via Candace's Book Blog over.
I bought my mom "The Fault in Our Stars" for Christmas, among other paperbacks, which I expect her to pass onto me! ;-)
Recently purchased "The 5th Wave" for my Kindle, which I'm excited to read.
Here's to another fantastic year of reading! :D
The Grave Mercy series is fabulous! I absolutely love the Bloodlines series :D
ReplyDeleteI also read The Fault in Our Stars this year and loved it. I plan to read Eleanor and Park next year.
ReplyDeleteI love The Fault in Our Stars! I also really want to read The 5th Wave, The Selection and The Testing! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list, i love all of them :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read ANY of those books! haha But some of them are on my TBR list, so one day. But since they're your top 10 this year, that's promising.
ReplyDeleteI loved The Grave Mercy series, The Shatter Me series, The Grisha Trilogy and The 5th Wave!
ReplyDeleteI have only read a couple.
ReplyDeleteI really need to step up my reading game !
TY for the chance to win.
<3
I loved The Elite, Of Poseidon, House of Hades, Splintered and With All My Soul. I also discovered a new series (at least new to me) by Naomi Novik's Temeraire series, it's the Napoleonic Wars fought with Dragons!! :)
ReplyDelete1) The Syrenka Series by Amber Garr (Promise, Betrayal, Arise)
ReplyDelete2) Waterproof by Amber Garr
3) The LUX Series by Jennifer Armentrout (Shadows, Obsidian, Onyx, Opal, Origin)
4) Requiem by Lauren Oliver
5) The Selection & The Elite
Sweet Peril also was one of my faves, as was The Bitter Kingdom! It must have been fantastic having all three books to read one after the other! It's one of my faves recent trilogies!
ReplyDeleteI only read Grave Mercy from your list! I am soo far behind so I must catch up. I am looking forward reading Dark Triumph and Rae Carson`s series!
ReplyDeleteGreat list, I have yet to read a few of those but they are definetly on my tbr list. The Fault in our stars made me cry for days after reading, that book will really stay with me for the rest of my life.
ReplyDeleteLux Series by Jennifer Armentrout
ReplyDeleteEve Trilogy by Anna Carey
Splintered by A.G. Howard
Selection and Elite by Kiera Cass
Graceling Trilogy by Kristin Cashore
Of Posideon and Of Triton by Anna Banks

The Girl of Fire and Thorns trilogy had such a good ending. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the last Grave Mercy book too!
Aarrgghh! There are so many on this list I've wanted to read, but simply haven't gotten to read yet. Oh well. On to the new year! (I'll still be reading some of these, of course.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Fault in Our Stars like everyone else and in the little list at the bottom I loved Eleanor & Park too. Such good books.
ReplyDeleteAnything by Gena and Richelle are practically automatic
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to basically all of these!
ReplyDeleteI loved loved loved The Program and Eleanor and Park! The Fault in Our Stars was definitely a 5 star read for me as well, but I don't think it warrants a spot in my top ten list.
